Half-Breed Camp

Cheaka took a deep breathe and started cutting the cake, "Easy now. Easy.." she muttered.

"Easy what?" Kaname asked as he walked up behind her. His voice quite and low, he didn't think that would scare her but it might happen.

Cheaka flinched, "Don't do that Kaname!! You scared me!" she said. She cut herself on the cutting knife, "And now I have a cut finger. I'm cutting the cake." she said looking for the first aid kit.

"Well duh..thats so easy to see...and I thought you would hear me.." he said with a laugh.

Cheaka sighed, "I block out my hearing when I'm cutting. I've cut myself too many times when Jin keeps on talking." she said matter-o-factly. She found the first aid kit and opened it. She put on a bandage. "There. Don't want to let the whole camp going crazy." she said to herself.

"You know...hyave the people here are vampires. And most of us are very non-crazy." he shot back.

"Do you know how many people in this camp scare me? They'd laugh like crazy when they see my face right after they scare me." Cheaka replied.

"Still pretty funny...wait weren't we just talking about vamps?"

"Yup."

"You amaze me...so much. Looks like Mioko is back." he walked over to were his sister was and waited for her to hug him. It looked like she was sick and not feeling well.
"Kaname?" she said before she rushed into his arms and started crying. THe same way she had with Zero and Ichirru.

Cheaka held back a sneer and saw Jin, "Lets get you out of here before you make Mioko more mad." she said dragging him to the docks.

Cheaka let go of Jin's shirt and sighed, " You're lucky to be alive boy." she said.
Jin smiled, [b]"Even if I was close to death, you'd come and save me." he said.
Cheaka sighed again, "Whatever. Just be more careful." she said.
Jin stood up, "Why? I have you by my side right? You protect me and I protect you, it's as simple as that." he smiled, very calm and gentle.
Cheaka blushed and turned around, "Shut up........idiot." she said almost in a whisper.
Jin sighed and walked up behind Cheaka and hugged her, "I know it's hard for you. Your vampire senses are growing stronger. I sense that. Don't do anything rash, ok? You can get through this. You can get through anything with the right plan. But for now, just relax. You're safe now, in Mioko's arms, Ichijo's arms, Kumiko's arms even though she just met you, and all above theirs; mine." he said gently. He wanted to be the one the protect Cheaka's smile, not Mioko.
Cheaka blushed even harder, "Jin you.........................idiot." she said softly.

Kaname looked over her head and straight at Zero and mouthed, "Whats wrong??"
"Shiki, left her." he mouthed back.
The look that was on his face was anything but nice.

"Yea, he told me about him....what really happend...Mioko? Why don't you go and lay down again?" he wispered that last part into her ear and waited for her to say something.
"Ichirru go with her. We don't want her to loose her memory all over again...now do we?" Zero asked everyone.

"And I would get slapped again..."Mioko muttered as she walked away,

Cheaka sighed, "Jin, I need to go. That idiot is here."
Jin smiled, "Ok, I'll let you go. But, be safe." he said. Then he disappeared.
Cheaka felt the warmth of Jins embrace disappear and sighed, "Not only that but.......I think there was someone watching us." she mumbled. She headed towards camp.

Cheaka spotted Kumiko, "Theres the spy![i]" she thought. She walked up to her, "You saw me and Jin at the lake, didn't you?!"

"Cheaka! Stop!" Mioko's voice was full of power and rank. "Leave her alone and come with me." when she made no move twords her she said in a ordering voice, "Now."

Cheaka flinched and her tail fuzzed up, "Yes!!" she ran towards her. "What is it Mioko???"

"She is a camper. She is not a spy. And Kanmae and Zero think that you have to come with me and Ichirru to make sure that I don't do anything stupid in my grief. So will you please come with us?"
Ichiru bent down and wisperd into her ear, "You know you didn't have to take that tone with her, you could have asked her niceley. She might have listened."
